While in Florida last weekend, I made sure to stop by my friends' new restaurant
The Pier in Jacksonville Beach. I'd like to say I was pleasantly surprised, but I wasn't. I was expecting it to be fantastic, and it was fantastic. I made sure to steal a bite off my friends' plates, so I can tell you that the fried green tomatoes, shrimp & grits, grilled chicken & avocado sandwich, havarti fondue and tuna carpaccio are all incredible. Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera with me, so I can't show you all the amazing things I tasted. But please read this
